Bachelor of Science in Physics with 3+ years of experience working in interdisciplinary laboratories as a research assistant and 1+ year of experience as teacher assistant. Co-leader in two projects. Presentations in numerous Scientific Conference being awarded in almost all of them. Strong mathematical background: Analytical Geometry, Algebra (linear, tensors and group theory), strong courses of Mathematical Analysis, Differential Equation, advance courses in Mathematical Methods, Numerical Methods; wide repertoire of programming languages: C++, Python, Wolfram Mathematica, Matlab, HTML and CSS; and knowledge of MRI and Neuroimaging. Work in Progress

Show that the message passing algorithms Belief Propagation (BP) and Susceptibility Propagation (SP) around the critical temperature in a simple binary model, allow to connect the structure with the typical functions of the brain.

  • Demonstrate that in the absence of direct external stimuli and around of the Ising’s critical temperature, the BP algorithm converges to an activation map similar to the Default Mode Network (DMN).
  • To estimate the functional connectivity of the brain using the SP algorithm around of the critical temperature from the anatomical structure.
  • To evaluate the physiological relevance of the functional connectivity obtained with the SP through the comparison of a determined segregation with the modularity on the previous matrix, with the functional organization maps obtained experimentally in previous studies (resting state networks: RSNs).
